Strawberry Shortcake

Melihat blog dailydelicious senang dengan resep-resep dan dekorasi cake, cookies dll yang memukau mata. Rapi banget. foto-fotonya cantik. Saya sudah mencoba resep neapolitan semifreddo ice cream dan sekarang strawberry shortcake, hasilnya jauh dari cantik... Untuk rasa saya suka.. Di bawah saya sertakan resepnya ya... Maaf tidak diterjemahkan takut salah...

Strawberry Shortcake

Cake:
55 gram rice barn oil
60 gram egg yolks (about 3)
100 gram granulated sugar
135 gram all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 gram freeze dried strawberry
40 ml milk

90 gram egg whites (about 3)
60 gram granulated sugar

Filling and frosting:
100 gram simple syrup
500 ml whipping cream
50 gram icing sugar
250 gram fresh strawberry

Prosess:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180'C.
  2. Line 30 cm cake pan with baking paper.
  3. Sift flour with baking powder together.
  4. Mix milk and strawberry puree together.
  5. Beat the egg yolks with sugar until light. Add salt and pour the oil and milk and strawberry mixture into the bowl mix and mix until combine.
  6. Pour the flour mixture into bowl mix until combine.
  7. Whip the egg whites until frothy, slowly add the sugar and whip until stiff peaks formed.
  8. Put the freeze dried strawberry into bowl. Fold the meringue into the batter in 2 or 3 additions until combine.
      
  9. Pour into the prepared pan, tap it gently 2-3 times to remove large air packets and bake for 18-20 minutes or until the top spring back when press lightly.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes then remove from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  11. Cut the cake into 3 pieces.
  12. Whip the whipping cream with icing sugar untul soft peak formed.
  13. Place one piece pf cake on a plate sprinkle the syrup over the cake. Spread the whipped cream on the cake and place the strawberry on the whipping cream. Repeat with another piece of cake, syrup, whip and strawberry.
  14. Place the last piece on top and cover top and side of the cake with the rest of the whipping cream.
  15. Decorate as you like.
